Commercialization
The technology developed by the Active Sensors Team has demonstrated a high commercial potential for new products and services. The team has already created two LIDAR-focused spin-off companies and expects one or two more by the end of 2007.
Plans and scenarios are in place for more new products and commercialization strategies. The technology developed by the Active Sensors Team is applicable to a wide range of markets such as mining, architectural surveys, land development, utilities management, infrastructure management, insurance claim analysis, forensic analysis, and farming.
Utah State University's Technology Commercialization Office (TCO) is dedicated to aiding in the commercialization of technologies developed at USU and its research laboratories.
