Handheld Texel Cameras
The Texel Camera™ is a major innovation by the Active Sensors Team. By synchronizing digital imagery with LADAR point clouds, the Texel Camera™ produces 3D images very similar to computer graphics models and scenes (that is, wire frames overlaid with textures) in just the time it takes to snap a photo.
The cameras, which are available in both handheld and tripod-based stationary mid-range versions, include real-time GPS tagging and motion blur control. The handheld camera is intended for short-range use, such as building interiors and models of objects.
